Feb PTI Blog Hop

February Blog Hop Challenge with PaperTrey Ink
This is our challenge from Nicole.
"Since we just finished up our 3rd Anniversary Festivities, we thought we would do something extra special for this month's Blog Hop! Design Team Appreciation Day! Your challenge is to go through the Design Team gallery or any of the Design Team Members' blogs and find a project that is especially inspirational to you! Then recreate the project with your own spin, making it unique! Be sure to share a link and photo of the original project that inspired you! And you can also use this opportunity to thank the team for all their contributions this past year! I know they inspire ME daily and I never seem to thank them enough! We look forward to seeing your projects!"
I just LOVE all of the design teams blogs! I am constantly visiting them for inspiration.
Thank you ladies for sharing your talents!!!
The designer I chose to lift is Niki Estes.
I chose to use Niki's card as a sketch. And here is my card.
My card base is made from PTI Spring Rain CS. I stamped the background with Tin Types in Spring Moss on Vintage Cream CS. The "In Bloom" flower was stamped on Spring Rain with Enchanted Evening ink, and the leaves on Spring Moss CS with Ripe Avocado ink. The small scallop is Spring Moss cut with a Fiskars border punch. The ribbon is Spring Rain satin. The sentiment is from the Butterflies Dreams set, stamped in Enchanted Evening.

The cream edging is cut with Martha Stewart punches on cream CS from my stash, since MS punches just can't handle our wonderful PTI CS. I added some pearls and a BG button. Then I coated my flower with glitter out of my stash.

Thank you, Niki for sharing the beautiful design!!!

Don't Stash It! day 17

Today is a sketch from SketchyThursday.
We are to use a die cut paper.
The die cut and embellishments are Making Memories.
The PP and letters are BG Fruitcake.

Don't Stash It! day 16

Today's sketch is by PageMaps. We are to use at least 4 photo corners,
and 2 have to be used non-traditionally.
My paper is by The Paper Company.
The blue velvet letters are Making Memories.
They've both been sleeping in my stash for YEARS!
The photo corners were cut with Sizzix.
And I sneaked in some newer Sassafrass stitch blossoms.
I really used different colors for a swimming page.
The blue water in this pool clashes with everything!
But, I like how this come out.

and the x's in the lower corners are Doodlebug.
Those are my favorite all time rub ons!
The Doodlebug stitches.
When my LSS put them on clearance I bought 4 packs!
What a great sketch for vacation pics.
Lots of pics, basic design.

Don't Stash It day 10

Today we have a sketch by PageMaps.
We are to use hearts paper, or reds and pinks.

My hearts paper is Doodlebug from a few years ago.
Lots of dimension on this layout!
The white is dotted swiss by Bazzill.
I stamped the embellies in the center.
The damask corners are chipboard that I painted and glittered.
The black scallop is velvet ribbon.
I pulled velvet brads from my stash.
The title is Making Memories.
And yes, the pictures are from TODAY!
I don't think I've ever turned around a LO that fast.
I don't usually print at home.
But, we just had Maddie here for a visit, and this LO screamed for vday pics.

Don't Stash It day 9

Today is a sketch from Julie Bonner.
We are to use holiday papers.
The red paper is by MOD from 2005.
IRL the red is the same shade as Santa's hat.
For the embellies:
the quote is from Pebbles
the santa is Doodlebug
the title is Creative Imaginations
and the red tinsel items and numbers are Thickers by AC.

Don't Stash It day 8

Today we are using a sketch from NutsAboutSketches.
We are to use 3 felt embellies.
My red paper is Paper Patch. I think I probably bought this the first year I was scrapping.
I didn't have any felt embellies except flowers, and just didn't want to use flowers on this page.
So, I made my own felt embellies with and "old" cuttlebug die.

Don't Stash It day 7

Today is a Sketchy Thursday sketch.
We are to use 12 eyelets.

The papers are Francis Meyer. Even my pics are old, from 2004.

Don't Stash It day 6

Today is a page map sketch, and we are to use 3 of our oldest papers.
These yellow papers are Keeping Memories Alive from 2001.

The coasters are Blue Cardigan from Imagination Project.
Bring back memories?

Please excuse the bad scan.

Happy Birthday Apron Strings!

We are having a month long birthday party on Apron Strings.
We have a new challenge every day.
Day one is a sketch by NutsAboutSketches.
Plus use some of your oldest product.

The red paper is DaisyD. I would guess about 8 or 9 years old.
The blue cs is ColorMates. That was my "go to" cs before I discovered Bazzill.
Still have quite a bit of it in my stash.
The star brads go way back maybe 9 or 10 years.
