Make it Mondays #13

This week's video is about selective impressing. I used my picnic plaid impression plate with Fillable Frames #4 on Gold Harvest card stock. I added a beautiful blooms felt flower out of Terracotta tile and berry sorbet with a dark chocolate felt button tied with twine backed with a delightful dahlia leaf cut from cheapie felt. The sentiment is from YOF: Violets. It's all put on a dark chocolate base.

Thanks for looking!

Papertrey February Blog Hop Challenge

This month we decided to dedicate the Blog Hop to scallops! We want to see your best use of scallops, of any sort, on a project! This can include scalloped borders, offset-scallops, stamped scallops, scalloped mats, scalloped frames, layered scallops, scalloped tags or anything else you can dream up! You can use dies, patterned scissors or even circle punches in a row to achieve your special look. We are looking forward to seeing all of your amazing creations!

And here is my card using PTI's large scallop die, embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder. The Make a Wish stamp set has fast become one of my favorites. I just love this cake and candles!

Supplies:

Cardstock and ribbon: Papertrey Ink
Stamps: PTI Make a Wish

Think Big at Papertrey Ink

And I have another challenge from PTI.

We want to see YOU take things BIG! Really BIG Your challenge today is to create a project that incorporates something unexpectedly mega-sized! this could be a super-sized tag, a gigantic embellishment, a huge flower, really big buttons or even a BIG focal point that takes center stage.

I can't tell you how much I LOVE the number dies from PTI! I've used them for my big focal point. I have them cut from terracotta tile felt, sitting on harvest gold debossed with the book print impression plate on a spellbinder lacy circle. You can't see in the photo, that I have polka dots on the terracotta background. And the sentiment is resting on a spellbinder ribbon tag tied with floss.

Go-to Sentiments Card

I am loving the Papertrey Ink Anniversary week.
Another challenge from Nicole:
Use multiple sentiments from different sets to make a card.

For this card, I used:
Make a Wish, Blooming Button Bits, Birthday Bash Sentiments, Asian Fusion, Fillable Frames 1 and 7, and Big Birthday Wishes.

Papertrey Ink Anniversary Celebration Day 7

Today, Nicole has wowed us again with wonderful new products and projects.
She has challenged us to make a tag that uses a frame.
I used mat stack one embossed with the linen impression plate, in raspberry fizz. I layered this on a kraft tag cut with a spellbinders label. Then I cut and stamped fillable frames #10 in chartreuse, with a sentiment from Birthday Bash Sentiments highlighted with some rhinestones. Then my tag was tied with PTI raspberry fizz and gold ribbons.

Papertrey Ink Celebration challenge

Papertrey Ink as part of the anniversary celebration posted a set of tags designed by some of the stamp designers. We were challenged to create a card with one of the tags. I used Nicole's happy birthday tag. My card was made using the numbers impression plate, the rick rack die, and the polka dot basics stamp set.

My favorite PTI product

I am so excited to participate in PTI's anniversary celabration. Nicole has asked us what our favorite product from this year is. Mine is definitely the dies. Nicole asked us to share a project using our favorite product. I am sharing a scrapbook page using the number dies, the victorian lace die and the big birthday wishes stamp set.

January Papertrey Blog Hop

Nicole's challenge to us this month is:

New Year's Resolution

With the new year comes a clean slate along with many resolutions. This month's blog hop challenge
involves you challenging yourself to use a Papertrey stamp set that has yet to see ink or even one that
might be collecting a little dust!

I chose Wise Owl, one of those sets I just had to have, but never used. I added Around and About Sentiments and the candle from Make a Wish. The border is the eyelet lace die cut in half. Add in some bitty star paper, a punched star and some brads.

Challenge #2 at Papertrey Playhouse

Challenge #2 at Papertrey Playhouse is:

I am often inspired by color combinations found in photography throughout blog-land, and that is where I came up with the inspiration for this challenge. To play along all you have to do is use Black and White with a Pop of Color.

And here is my card.

Apron Strings Monday challenge

Here is our challenge issued by Lori at Apron Strings.

Today, a little "Inspired by. . ." I was watching my toddler wandering around in his dinosaur pajamas the other day, all baggy and saggy and, frankly, very comfy looking and thought that would make a good challenge. So in honor of my son's dinosaur pajamas, create a layout that's inspired by them - the colors are browns, creams and greens (both moss and evergreen) and a touch of golds, with little dinosaurs all over them. They are long-sleeved and soft cotton.

I took my inspiration from the color and made this layout.

Five on Friday at Apron Strings

Our five on Friday today is:

•1 sheet of cardstock
one sheet plain white cardstock
•1 sheet of patterned paper
Red polka dot Doodlebug
•1 set of "themed" buttons or brads - if you have them, if not regular round is okay.
Dragonfly brads (not butterflies, but close enough)
•1 set of stickers
Doodlebug border stickers
•1 length of ribbon
Red and white ribbon from my stash, brand unknown

Then I took my paper scraps and made some butterfly embellies. Still just used my two sheets of paper! The scanner smooshed the butterflies, so here's a camera closeup.

Apron Strings Sketches on Wednesday

Nice easy challenge today. Use this sketch. I love sketches!

And my page using our BoBunny kit and embellies from different kits through the summer, plus some rub ons from my stash. OH! And I used my newest EK border punch. Isn't that a great one?

Papertrey Playhouse challenge

Today, I am playing with a challenge for a group called Papertrey Playhouse that was formed on Papertrey. This is our first challenge:

Challenge #1 - Felt

This challenge is an easy one. All you have to do to play along is use felt somewhere on your project. If you want to up your game, include a bow too! But the main requirement is felt.

I needed a quick get well card for a guy, and wanted something fun.
So here's what I came up with. I took inspriation from one of Nicole's cards.
I used my new terra cotta tile felt and my new eyelet die and the first time to use Harvest Gold. Always fun to play with new goodies!

My Croppy Summer Assignment #31

Here we are at the last challenge. I kept up, and did them all! The last challenge is: create today's layout with a vintage, homemade "flavor." Vintage doesn't come easy for me. When I think vintage, I tend to think Christmas without the cute. So, here's my attempt. Thanks Lori for the summer fun!!!

My Croppy Summer Assignment #30

Create a layout today using the color gold, and at least three round items, one of them large.

My Croppy Summer Assignment #29

Today's challenge is based on inspiration from this weekend's getaway: Start with recent photos, add some black & white and some splashes of colors in the embellishments.

Guess glitter and velvet scan differently, those pinks are the same color IRL.
EWW! Looks like my scanner needs cleaned!

My Croppy Summer Assignment #28

So, since this week slipped away, there are three challenges for today will be multiple ;) First, we need a sketch, so you'll find a PageMaps sketch below:

I love sketches, this one took some serious photo editing! I pulled out some BG outbeat for this one. That heart bling on the crown, really is pink!!

Next - a little 5 on Friday action:

2 sheets cardstock
1 sheet patterned paper
1 length ribbon
1 set flowers or buttons
Remember, other than the listed ingredients, only journaling and a title are allowed; NO other items can be used.

When I read this one: I thought of how Jen used the buttons on "FUN". Man oh Man! Those letters are BIG! I used last month's kit for this one. I think that paper is perfect for Maddie's rainbow color suit.

And one more thing - with summer winding down, create your layout using summer photos - current photos would be great, but any summer photos will do.

And last, but not least, some fun pics with last month's kit.
